{"id":110835,"date":"2017-05-17T16:01:54","date_gmt":"2017-05-17T15:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/?page_id=110835"},"modified":"2026-04-27T09:52:28","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:52:28","slug":"cscs-apprenticeship-recognition-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/applying-for-cards\/qualifications\/cscs-apprenticeship-recognition-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"CSCS Apprenticeship Recognition Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"intro-text\">CSCS follows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionleadershipcouncil.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/CLC-Industry-Card-Schemes-26.03.24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Construction Leadership Council (CLC) recommendations<\/a>, which state that &#8220;n<strong>ationally recognised apprenticeships in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be accepted as meeting the minimum standard&#8221;.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This allows all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/about\/cscs-alliance\/\">CSCS Alliance schemes<\/a> to accept nationally recognised apprenticeships from all four UK nations, regardless of whether they include an N\/SVQ.<\/p>\n<p>This ensures that apprentices on more recently created apprenticeships programmes (such as the English Apprenticeship Standards) will be eligible for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/card-type\/apprentice\/\">free CSCS Apprentice card<\/a> and, upon completion, the relevant <strong>skilled CSCS card<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the recognition of any Apprenticeship when issuing a skilled card, it will be necessary for the applicant to have proof of successful completion of their Apprenticeship.
