{"id":33562,"date":"2015-02-17T13:55:50","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T13:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/?page_id=33562"},"modified":"2026-03-27T10:20:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T10:20:39","slug":"photo-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cscs.uk.com\/photo-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Photo requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>When applying for your CSCS card, the photograph taken at the centre for your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citb.co.uk\/courses-and-qualifications\/health-safety-and-environment-hse-test-and-cards\/\">CITB HS&amp;E Test<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cic.org.uk\/training\">CIC Health and Safety Course<\/a> will, in most instances, be used on your card.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you are applying using an alternative to the CITB HS&amp;E Test or CIC Health and Safety Course, you must upload a passport style photograph along with valid photo ID as part of your application.<\/p>\n<p>If the photograph does not meet the requirements listed below, we may ask you to provide a new one.<\/p>\n<p>Photographs to support your application must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In colour<\/li>\n<li>Taken against a plain white background<\/li>\n<li>Clear and in focus<\/li>\n<li>No more than two years old<\/li>\n<li>Unaltered by computer software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The image must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Show a close-up of full head and shoulders without any other objects or people<\/li>\n<li>Be a JPG or JPEG file.
